Senior LNG Originator

Responsibilities:

• Conducting and managing all aspects of the company’s originating activities for the LNG desk as per given function as well as closely monitoring all aspects of the execution of such business in close collaboration with the company’s operations and back-office personnel.
• Controlling all aspects of the “book’s” trading activity and hedging all respective price/pricing-, differential-, arbitrage- risks in line with exposure limits in force from time to time and in accordance with the company’s group risk policy and to immediately reporting all concerns on risk (including but not limited to non-performance, credit, regulatory and legal).
• Daily diligent reporting of all business transactions (not limited to physical- and derivatives transactions, logistics contracts, storage lease agreements, and so on) in accordance with the company’s procedures and regulations, in close collaboration with the company’s middle office personnel.
• Establish and maintain business relationships with relevant suppliers, customers, storage owners, etc., as well as developing new business opportunities following the company’s business strategy and guidelines for Western Europe.

Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of exposure and PnL from an LNG physical trading perspective
• Bachelor’s Degree. Business, Finance, Management, Economics preferred.
• 5-10 years of related work experience with at least 2-3 years as an LNG trader/originator and 2-3 years as a trading analyst.
• Business sense, analytical and summary skills, good organizational skills, team spirit and a curious nature.
